physical contact. She's not adverse to it, and has been known to touch people here and there for emphasis, or to convey something without words. It's usually done with a purpose and it rarely means anything more than to direct or distract. If she doesn't know the person touching her, her reaction will vary based on her snap judgement of the person and the situation.
physical affection. With those she knows, Mel is less stilted with physical affection, though she has a lot of difficulty reciprocating it. Her mother wasn't exactly a warm, feeling person and Mel grew up idolizing the woman and attempting to model herself after her. Even all these years and all her attempts to separate herself from Ambessa, Mel still struggles with being affectionate, even when she tries to be.
magic & mind reading. Mel, according to Leblanc, is an empath, which means that is innately attuned to the arcane and her own magic, and that it allows her to sense the presence of others with magic and also bend it. Her talent with the latter is fledgling at best, as is her mastery of magic in general, the abilities very new and still foreign to her. Mel is, however, a diligent and persistent student and is determined to understand this new power to use it to better protect herself and those around her. Because her power is noted to be stronger because her connection is intrinsic, and because she is an empath, she is able to shield herself from the prying of others, as seen by her pushing back against Leblanc, who is, herself, incredibly powerful. She's aware of anyone attempting to push into her mind or touch her magic now, and will fight back if she senses it. If someone stronger is able to break through her defenses, they'll find there are more and more walls to get through, enough to exhaust anyone.

Tall and lean, Mel is far from petite or shrinking, filling every room she enters with her presence and she always aims to stand out, wearing black and white and gold, though recently, she has embraced, in bits, the color red for Noxus and her mother. Her most striking feature after her bright green eyes is perhaps the gold markings that cut across her entire body, from her face to the tips of her fingers and toes, marks of the arcane and the power that she wields. Save for a few scars, she's otherwise in perfect health.
fights, injuries, & death. Mel is defensive, rather than offensive, cunning rather than direct, and that shows in her fighting as it does in her normal life. Her ability allows her to create shields and barriers that allow her to defend but also reflect, and she relies on that more heavily than she does attacks. That isn't to say she is helpless however, able to use her light to blind, burn, or pull into darts or whips to lash out at anyone who attacks her. For injuries and fights, discussion first is preferable, and death is going to be a no, most likely.
